انطلق المعرض على مدار أربعة أيام بمشاركة قادة القطاعات الصناعية وقطاع البناء والتشييد وأصحاب المصلحة في المشاريع لمناقشة الحوكمة وفرص التعاون ومرونة سلاسل الإمداد وممارسات تنفيذ المشاريع الكبرى في المملكة
الرياض، المملكة العربية السعودية، 31 أغسطس 2026: تحت رعاية وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، انطلقت فعاليات معرض «Big 5 Construct Saudi» في مركز واجهة الرياض للمعارض والمؤتمرات.
وافتتح فعاليات المعرض سعادة وكيل وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية للخدمات والامتثال الصناعي، م. فواز بن بدر الشورى، وتستمر فعاليات المعرض على مدار أربعة أيام. كما حضر حفل الافتتاح مات دينتون، رئيس «dmg events».
وتقام النسخة الحالية خلال الفترة من 30 أغسطس حتى 2 سبتمبر 2026، مسلطةً الضوء على المراحل الأساسية في القطاعات الصناعية للبناء، بالتزامن مع أربعة معارض متخصصة هي «HVACR Saudi Arabia»
و «FM & Clean Saudi Arabia» و«Heavy Saudi Arabia» و«Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia».
وقام الشورى بجولة في أرجاء المعرض، الذي يأتي في مرحلة مهمة يشهدها المجال الصناعي في قطاعي البناء والتشييد في المملكة، بالتزامن مع مواصلة العمل على تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
القيادة والحوكمة في صدارة النقاشات
شهد اليوم الأول مجموعة من النقاشات المتخصصة، من أبرزها جلسة القيادة الافتتاحية، التي تناولت دور تعزيز الحوكمة والتعاون والشفافية في دعم تنفيذ المشاريع المعقدة.
وأدار الجلسة داركو ماكورا، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة «الخولي»، بمشاركة كريستوفر سيمور، المدير العام لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا في «Mace Arabia»؛ وخالد الدغيثر، مدير المشتريات والعقود المؤسسية في «روشن»؛ ويوسف بن زايد، المدير العام لشركة «الفطيم لإدارة المرافق».
ودعا المشاركون إلى تعزيز التعاون بين أصحاب المصلحة في قطاع البناء لضمان سلاسة تنفيذ المشاريع، إلى جانب ضرورة التعامل مع تحديات المشتريات والخدمات اللوجستية والقوى العاملة في مراحل مبكرة من دورة حياة المشروع.
وقال كريستوفر سيمور: «شهدت منظومة ضبط المشاريع تحسنًا كبيرًا خلال الأعوام الخمسة الماضية، وأصبحت فرق العمل تخضع لمستويات أكبر من التدقيق، ما يتطلب منها مرونة أعلى. ومن المجالات التي يمكننا من خلالها تعزيز هذه المرونة بشكل أكبر دفع عملية التخطيط إلى مراحل مبكرة قدر الإمكان. فالتغيير مستمر، وما نحتاج إليه الآن هو إيجاد بيئات للمشاريع قادرة على التكيف مع هذا التغيير»
من جانبه، أكد يوسف بن زايد أهمية التعاون عبر سلسلة الإمداد في تعزيز المرونة، وقال: «لدينا حالات وقفنا فيها إلى جانب مطورين في المملكة، إيمانًا بمشاريعهم وخططهم، بما يسهم في ضمان تحقيق نتائج إيجابية».
كما سلطت جلسة قيادية أخرى بعنوان «تعزيز معايير التخطيط والتنسيق والإشراف في مواقع البناء» الضوء على الجوانب العملية لتنفيذ المشاريع، وبحثت السبل التي يمكن من خلالها لفرق المشاريع تحسين كفاءة التنفيذ اليومي.
وشارك في الجلسة كل من كيفن بيفر، مدير التسليم لمشروع إكسبو الرياض 2030 في «Bechtel»، وجويل تومبسون، المدير الأول للمشاريع في «شركة القدية للاستثمار»؛ ومحمد يماني، مدير إدارة المرافق في «دوسمان عجلان وإخوانه»، وعمران محمود عالم، مدير أول للمشاريع في «House of Consulting Office»، فيما أدارت الجلسة راشيل جونز، رئيسة الخدمات المتخصصة في «JLL».
وأكد المشاركون أن تعزيز دور القيادة والاستفادة من التقنيات الحديثة يسهمان في تلبية توقعات المستخدمين النهائيين وتطوير مهارات القوى العاملة في قطاع البناء.
وفي حديثه عن دور قادة المشاريع، قال بيفر: «على القادة أن يكونوا حاضرين في الميدان وأن يكونوا قدوة لفرقهم. فعندما يؤمن القائد بما يقوم به ويلتزم بالمعايير التي يضعها، تنعكس هذه الثقة على فريق العمل. كما أن التواصل المستمر مع الفرق في مواقع العمل، والثبات على النهج، والحفاظ على الهدوء والمبادئ المهنية، عوامل أساسية للحفاظ على وضوح الرؤية واستمرارية التنفيذ».
وأشار تومبسون إلى ضرورة وضع خطة التنفيذ في مرحلة مبكرة، وقال: «ينبغي أن تتبلور خطة التنفيذ منذ مرحلة المناقصة، بحيث تشمل التصميم والمشتريات، والخدمات اللوجستية والصحة والسلامة. ومن هذه الاستراتيجية يتشكل البرنامج التنفيذي للمشروع، إلى جانب أهمية وجود إشراف استباقي».
واتفق المشاركون على أن التوسع في تبني التقنيات لن يسهم فقط في رفع كفاءة المشاريع، بل سيساعد أيضًا في تطوير مهارات القوى العاملة بدلًا من أن يؤدي إلى الاستغناء عن الوظائف.
العارضون يستعرضون حلولًا تدعم مشاريع المملكة
وعلى أرض المعرض، شارك عارضون محليون ودوليون مجموعة من الحلول التي تخدم قطاع البناء والتشييد.
أعلنت الفطيم للمقاولات Al-Futtaim Contracting عن إطلاق عملياتها في مجال إدارة المرافق والسلامة من الحرائق وحماية الأرواح في المملكة العربية السعودية، وذلك خلال Big 5 Construct Saudi، بما يعزز قدراتها المتخصصة ويتيح تقديم خدمات متكاملة تغطي مختلف مراحل دورة حياة الأصول.
وتستعرض شركة «حسين والحسن غازي شاكر» حلولها في مجال التدفئة والتهوية وتكييف الهواء، «فيما تستعرض «ميدغلف» حلولًا تأمينية موجهة لقطاع البناء. كما تستعرض شركات «اليمامة للحديد» و«باز للحديد» و«الزامل للحديد» حلولًا في مجال الحديد والمنتجات ذات الصلة لدعم مشاريع البناء والبنية التحتية، في حين تركز
«Haier & Aljabr Saudi Electronics Trading» على تقنيات المباني وأنظمة التدفئة والتهوية وتكييف الهواء.
وتقدم شركات موردة، من بينها «Grundfos Saudi Arabia» و«Wilo Saudi Arabia»، تقنيات وحلولًا في مجال الضخ وإدارة المياه لدعم تطبيقات المباني والبنية التحتية.

Four-day show brings together leaders from the industrial and construction sectors, as well as project stakeholders, to discuss governance, collaboration opportunities, supply chain resilience and delivery practices across Saudi Arabia’s major projects
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | 31 August 2026: Under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Big 5 Construct Saudi kicked off at Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Eng. Fawaz bin Badr Al Shora, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Services and Compliance and will run for four days. Also present at the opening ceremony was Matt Denton, President of dmg events.
Taking place from 30 August – 2 September 2026, this edition brings the foundational stages of construction and related industrial sectors into focus through Big 5 Construct Saudi and its four specialized events, HVACR Saudi Arabia, FM & Clean Saudi Arabia, Heavy Saudi Arabia and Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia.
AlShora was given a guided tour of the exhibition, which comes at an important stage for the Kingdom’s industrial, construction and building sectors, as work continues towards realizing Vision 2030 targets.
Leadership and governance take centre stage
Among a raft of insightful discussions on Day 1 was the opening leadership panel, which examined how stronger governance, collaboration and transparency can support the delivery of complex projects. Moderated by Darko Macura FCIOB, Chief Executive Officer, Al Kholi Group, panellists Christopher Seymour, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Mace Arabia; Khalid Dugaither, Director, Corporate Procurement & Contracts, ROSHN; and Yousuf Bin Zayed, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Facilities Management, called for strong collaboration among construction stakeholders for seamless project execution as well as the need to address procurement, logistics and workforce challenges early in the project lifecycle. .
“Project controls have really improved over the past five years and teams are under more scrutiny and need to be more resilient. One area we can create even greater resilience in is bringing that planning as far forward as we can. Change is happening; it’s now about how we create project environments to adapt to that change,” said Seymour.
Yousuf Bin Zayed, from Al Futtaim, talked about the importance of collaboration in the supply chain to achieve resilience, adding: “We have cases where we have stood beside developers in the Kingdom, showing belief in their projects and in their plans to ensure a positive outcome.”
The practical realities of construction site delivery also came into focus during another leadership panel, ‘Enhancing planning, coordination and supervision standards on construction sites,’ which examined how project teams can improve day-to-day execution. The panel featured Kevin Beaver FCIOB, Delivery Director – Expo Riyadh 2030, Bechtel; Joel Thompson MCIOB, Senior Manager – Projects, Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC); Mohamed Yamani, FMC Director, Dussman Ajlan & Bros.; and Omran Mahmood Alam, Senior Project Manager, House of Consulting Office, and was moderated by Rachael Jones, Head of Specialist Services, JLL. The panellists reiterated that committed leadership and technology adoption are key to meeting end-user expectations and upskilling the construction workforce.
Stressing the vital role project leaders play, Beaver said: “Leaders need to be visible and lead by example. As a leader, you have to believe in what you are doing, and teams will follow you. Set the standards, but you also have to engage with your teams on site and remain committed. It’s important to remain calm, stay the course, maintain your ethics and ethos.”
Echoing those leadership dynamics, Thompson also spoke about the importance of having an execution plan in place, long before the project begins, adding: “Your execution plan should come during the tendering. Design, procurement, logistics, health and safety. Your project progamme is an output of that strategy. You also need proactive supervision.”
All the panelists agreed that greater adoption of certain technology will not only improve project efficiency but will also help upskill workforces rather than taking jobs away from people.
Exhibitors showcase solutions supporting Saudi projects
Opening day saw local and international exhibitors showcase solutions tailored to Saudi Arabia’s evolving built environment. Al-Futtaim Contracting announced the launch of its Facilities Management and Fire & Life Safety operations in Saudi Arabia at Big 5 Construct Saudi, expanding its specialist capabilities and offering integrated services across the asset lifecycle.
Among other exhibitors, Hussein & AlHassan G. Shaker Bros. is displaying its HVAC and air-conditioning solutions, while MedGulf is presenting insurance and reinsurance services for the construction sector. Al Yamamah Steel, Baz Steel and Zamil Steel Holding highlight steel and related solutions supporting building and infrastructure projects, while Haier & Aljabr Saudi Electronics Trading focuses on building and HVAC-related technologies.
Suppliers including Grundfos Saudi Arabia and Wilo Saudi Arabia are presenting pumping and water-management technologies supporting building and infrastructure applications.
